Dangers of pain killers in Children
“Acetaminophen use in children: more is not better.”
(Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in Tylenol and other commonly used fever and pain relievers).
This study published in 1997 in the Journal of Paediatrics discusses the statistics that reveal that at least twenty-four children in the U.S. have died and three have required liver transplants after receiving accidental overdoses of acetaminophen. All the children involved were aged ten years or younger, and 21 were aged two years or younger.
The authors comment that parents may have given acetaminophen longer than is recommended “because fever persisted.”

Another study which supports what doctors of chiropractic have long suspected: pain medication often does more harm then good.
